NV Camille Saves Champagne Grand Cru Brut Rose Bouzy

$44.99
NV Camille Saves Champagne Grand Cru Brut Rose Bouzy

Today, we have a small reload of this favorite Rose Champagne at our same low pricing. This Rose has been a big hit with our clients over the years and is consistently praised for its price-quality, with many asking us when we will get more. It is one of the best Rose Champagnes in this price range, rubbing shoulders with many much more expensive bottles and one of the top examples from the Village of Bouzy, even outdoing Paul Bara, in our opinion.

It's made in a serious style that isn't just a summer Rose quaff and is one of the longer-lived non-vintage bottlings of Rosé amongst the smaller Champagne houses. This Cuvee is a blend of sixty percent chardonnay, twenty-eight percent pinot noir, and twelve percent Bouzy rouge. All grand cru fruit here; only the best press is used for this Cuvee with 3 to 4 years of aging on the lees before release. This Rose delivers an excellent nose of cherries, strawberries, rye toast, chalky soil tones, and a smoky top note. The wine is deep, full-bodied, and nicely balanced, with a good core of fruit on the palate and excellent finesse. This is impressively complex, with an elegant mousse, lovely grip, and focus on the long, vibrant finish. It is a delicious rose that can be enjoyed now but is fun to tuck away in the cellar for a surprise. We have enjoyed countless bottles of this highly praised Rose, and at this low pricing, it is one of the best buys for Rose Champagne right now and highly recommended.

Burghound 93 points! "Oeil de perdrix color. Softly yeasty and decidedly cool and elegant aromas include those of freshly sliced citrus, especially lime, raspberry and a whisper of strawberry. There is excellent intensity to the finely detailed flavors that are supported by an equally fine mousse, all wrapped in a crisp, even snappy, finish that also drinks much drier than the stated dosage level would suggest; indeed, this is borderline austere, which isn't something that happens all that often with rosé sparklers."
