NV Charles Heidsieck Brut Reserve

$49.99
NV Charles Heidsieck Brut Reserve

We have a long history of enjoying this Champagne, and even after all of these years, it's still one of our favorite go-to's in the non-vintage category in this price range. Charles Heidsieck makes great age-worthy Champagnes, and the Brut Reserve is right up there with many of the top houses baring non-vintage bottlings. A blend of 40% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir, and 20% Pinot Meunier, the real key to success here is that 40% of the juice comes from reserve wines over 20 years old, giving the Champagne an incredible depth and complexity seldom seen at this price point. On top of that, the Brut Reserve spends at least 48 months aging on the lees, further building its flavor and aromatic profile. The mousse is very fine with aromas of white flowers, citrus, apple, exotic fruits like mango, bread dough, almonds, and chalky minerality. The palate is accessible and detailed with excellent power and tons of dry extract on the long, lingering finish. Although it is a richer Champagne, it has exceptional elegance and near-perfect balance. The Brut Reserve from Charles Heidsieck is an incredible value with extensive back vintages added and is one of the best buys for serious non-vintage Champagne. We have a limited amount arriving tomorrow, and it's a fantastic buy at this great pricing!
