NV Hugues Godme Champagne Grand Cru Rose

$49.99
NV Hugues Godme Champagne Grand Cru Rose

It's been a while since we have offered the Rose From Hugues Godme, but we are back with this low pricing once again. This is always among the best and most sharply focused non-vintage roses in grower Champagne. For those that like Bereche's vintage Champagne, here is its cousin, and we wouldn't necessarily say it's behind at all in quality—a perfect representation of Montagne de Reims minerality with wonderfully elegant rose tones. We've always had a love for the Godmé family's Rosé, and now, with Hugues on his own and dialing in a smaller vineyard surface and elevages, things have risen to an entirely different level. The focus and pinpoint precision are amazing. It is as refined an effort from the Montagne de Reims as we can remember and a crystal clear definition of this hillside terroir. 65% Pinot Noir and 35% Chardonnay, with a cool, focused feel, an intriguing mix of stone fruit, and light red berry nuances, with that mineral signature crescendoing on the finish. An exciting wine and a must-try for any lover of Rosé Champagne, especially at this excellent pricing.
