We have been looking for another Blanc des Blancs we can work directly with since our long-time import of R.L. Legras can not be sold at the $39.99 price point anymore due to the increase in cost. But we have a nice replacement here, and as a bonus, this is a 100% vintage cuvee, whereas Legras was non-vintage. As we've mentioned previously, Robert Allait hails from the village of Villers-Sous-Chatillon in the Marne Valley, which is one of the areas where you can still find good Champagne deals. The Sublimis is sourced from some of the Domaines' best Chardonnay plots and features lovely aromas of stone fruit blossoms, apples, and liquid minerals. The palate is taut and focused with lovely precision salinity and tons of dry extract on a vibrant finish. This is rocking juice at this price point with a dosage of 5 grams/ per liter, giving it a bit more terroir focus. The Champagnes from Robert Allait have never been sold in the US, so we are excited to be the first to offer these incredible Champagnes at these much-needed price points.
