This wine is a gorgeous expression of the Nebbiolo grape. From vines 50 years old in Serrlaunga d Alba, this is a lower elevation vineyard site that could be classified as Barolo, but the Brandini family likes the site for its approachable personality, thus giving it the Nebbiolo classification.  The wine is fermented with Indigenous yeasts and spends one year in large oak barrels. I love the balance of this wine, and it tastes like a lovely Barolo that is approachable now due to the site and the winemaking. There are beautiful aromas of rose petals, cherry pith, blood orange, liquid minerals, and a slight herbal component. The palate does not disappoint with its lovely inter-mouth perfume, gorgeous texture, impeccable balance, and perfectly interpreted tannins on the finish. Drink this wine over the next five years. It is beautiful juice and worth the price of admission!
