The 2022 Markus Molitor Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Riesling Kabinett (Golden Capsule) is a show-stopper and one of the best white wine values in the world and these are the last bottles we have to offer of this outstanding deal. 2022 is a beautiful vintage for Germany with lovely warm weather that made for some excellent fruit-forward wines perfect for the Kabinett level while retaining the crucial high acidity and expressive minerality that these wines are known for having. On top of that, the price for this wine has been relatively unchanged for the last five vintages, and it is still one of the best old-world white wines you can buy for the money. The Zeltinger Sonnenuhr vineyard is a special site named after an old sundial that was constructed in the vineyard many years ago. The vineyard has excellent exposure to the sun to combat the colder climate, which also heats up the slate soils, helping retain heat while providing ample drainage. 2022 is a stunning bottle at the Kabinett level, which shows a bit more sophistication than usual for its class and is like a baby Spatlese this vintage. A somewhat rare find, we have the same pricing as the last release, and right now, these are some of the only bottles available in the US.
