The Jackson family Estates have sold off Byron, closing out some older vintages. We tasted a few of the closout wines from the winert this past week, and this one was the winner. This wine was direct-to-consumer bottling for their wine club, and I'm happy to report that it's a very nice bottle, especially for $19.99! The winery retail on this was previously over $40, making this a tremendous deal. The 2015 shows terrific aromas of blue fruits, cassis, leather, lead pencil, and liquid minerals. The plate is open with lovely black fruits, herbs, and a touch of spice. This is a top-value and beautiful bottle to drink over the next year or two. Dont miss it!
