This Pinot from Domaine Anderson is sourced from a vineyard owned by Champagne giant Louis Roederer's parent company. It's a 50-acre site in the cool climate of Anderson Valley that is certified officially organic and biodynamic. Another big name was involved, and the consultant for this vintage was Jeremy Seysses, the winemaker of Domaine Dujac. We just tasted this yesterday, and it is a lovely, ready-to-drink Pinot Noir showing aromas of red and blue fruits, red flowers, spice, minerals, and a lovely touch of oak. The palate is deep and lush with lingering notes of red fruits, spice box, and savory notes, which all melt into the wine's beautiful finish finish. This is a great Pinot Noir made with a bit of European flair but with a nice core of domestic fruit that is perfect for every day, cellar saving, and parties, all at a great closeout price!
