2020 Domaine Louis Jadot Meursault Les Chevalières

$69.99
2020 Domaine Louis Jadot Meursault Les Chevalières
The Meursault Chevaliers from Jadot is a wine they have only been making for a few years, and this is the first time we have been able to offer this newer selection. This is sourced from Domaine fruit, and while this is a village vineyard, it is considered one of the best, with producers like Jobard and Coche Dury sourcing wine from this vineyard and, as you can imagine, at much more expensive pricing. The vineyard lies at the northern end of Meursault on the border of Auxey-Duresses, close to other vineyards like Tessons, Luchets, and Les Grandes Charrons. This site is east facing at about 800-900 feet elevation and boasts vines that are 50 years old on average, grown on a limestone slab. This sees the traditional Jadot fermentation with natural years and a third new oak, aging for 15 months.
This is an excellent example of this vineyard from Jadot, and this wine is typically very mineral driven and refined with good supporting Meursault richness and acidity, pairing with lighter seafood and vegetables but cheese and chicken as well. This is a rare find, and we have the only bottles currently available in the USA!
