2022 Rapet Père et Fils Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Aux Fournaux Eta W/O 2-24-2025

$49.99
2022 Rapet Père et Fils Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Aux Fournaux Eta W/O 2-24-2025

We have an excellent red burgundy buy from the 2022 vintage today at this great pricing. While still an under-the-radar address in Pernand Vergerlesses, Rapet has a family history dating back to 1765 and has been an excellent source for Burgundy for many. The estate manages a 20-hectares encompassing vineyards in Pernand-Vergelesses, Savigny-lès-Beaune, Aloxe-Corton, and Beaune. Under the guidance of Vincent Rapet, the domaine continues its tradition of producing wines that authentically reflect their terroir. The wines are currently better than ever, and while the whites are the mainstays, the reds here are also very good. Aux Fournaux is sourced from a 50+-year-old parcel situated in the upper section of the vineyard, where the soil is less humid and poorer, contributing to finer tannins and extended palate length. Vinification involves a 15-day fermentation with punch-downs, followed by aging in barrels, 30% of which are new. The 2022 vintage benefited from favorable weather conditions, resulting in balanced wines with fresh acidity, excellent tannins, and beautiful fruit. We have a limited amount arriving early next week, and it's a fantastic buy for the category at this low pricing.

Jasper Morris MW (Inside Burgundy) 90-92 points! "The same name but not the same soil, very stony here. A fine fresh mid purple. Altogether finer than the village wine with a racy quality through the middle of the raspberry fruit, the limestone seems much closer here. Medium length in the classy finish."
