The 2019 La Torre is our best Brunello deal ever, and we were able to get a bit more after trying another bottle last night. It was outstanding, and we are offering these at the same low price. The estate is operated by Luigi Anania, who took over from his father, who bought the La Torre property in the mid-70s. Luigi works a little over five hectares of vines organically, located at a high elevation, which is the key to this estate. The vines are planted at the highest peak in Brunello, 1,500 feet, giving these wines incredible purity and elegance with the naturally cooler climate, allowing for some slower ripening of the grapes. Because of this, Luigi produces one of Brunellos' elegant examples, sourcing from the best and oldest vines on the property, dating back to the 70s. It is a beautifully balanced and structured Brunello showing excellent complexity, intensity, and energy, which is one of the best examples made here thanks to the fantastic 2019 growing season.
