John Gilman 94 pts! The 2012 is clearly the finest rendition of Gruenchers I have yet had the pleasure to taste from Madame Barthod! The stellar nose delivers a blend of red and black cherries, pomegranate, nutskin, raw cocoa, a beautiful base of soil, just a touch of vanillin oak and a pungent topnote of roses. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and very sappy at the core, with laser-like focus, great minerality, fine-grained tannins and stunning backend energy and purity on the very, very long, magical finish.
