Marc Hebrart is outstanding and one of Grower Champagne's best producers. Over the years, these Champagnes have been some of our clients' favorites, where quality is always high and consistent with reasonable pricing. Tightly knit, mineral, and elegant, the Champagnes from Hebrart are always inspiring, and today, we have a late release of one of the higher-end selections born in the 2012 vintage, Noces de Craie. Noces de Craie is a 100% Pinot Noir masterpiece and the newest Cuvee from Hebrart sourced from the Grand Cru village of Ay. It is a blend of five single parcels, all located on very chalky soils, including Cheuzelles, Longchamp, Pierre Robert, Pruche, and Chauffour. This is a Champagne with some innate power only made with the Coeur de Cuvee, or the "heart" of the first pressing that yields the best juice. It sees malolactic fermentation in Stainless steel with aging on the lees for 48 months and is finished with a very low dosage so as not to disrupt the mineral presence and ripe fruit. Though it's a cuvee that Hebrart has only made for a few vintages, it has been incredibly consistent. 2018 is the current release for this cuvee, and it shows significant promise, with a nice recent note from Galloni. A multifaceted bottle that always reveals something new in the glass, this is at the top of the list for Hebrart Champagne. We have low pricing and some of the only bottles available in the USA.
