Diebolt-Vallois Cuvee Prestige has long been one of our customers' favorite Champagnes, and today, we are offering the last magnums we have available. The quality of the Diebolt-Vallois Champagnes has been outstanding for a long time, putting them on par with some of the top Grand Marque Houses, but for much less. The Cuvee Prestige is like a baby Fleur de Passion but with Chardonnay sourced from three Grand Cru villages of Cramant, Chouilly, and Le Mesnil, whereas the Fleur de Passion comes strictly from Le Mesnil. The Cuvee Prestige is also a blend of two current vintages plus some older juice from a Solera aged in large casks dating back to the 2008 vintage. Cuvee Prestige has a focused minerality from the heavy chalk soils the vines are planted on and shows incredible precision and clarity. This is a crisp and complex Champagne but not austere thanks to some oak aging, which tends to be the style of Diebolt Vallois in its youth, but with more age, they tend to round out, get more depth, and even more complexity. This cuvee is finished with a low 4g/l dosage, which is the perfect complement. The Cuvee Prestige is a great grower of Champagnes at this level and an excellent value for Magnums. Don't miss these last bottles!
