The 2017 vintage was warm and dry, producing a beautifully early-drinking wine that is in a perfect spot right now. Cantina Frentana, a cooperative founded in 1958 in Rocca San Giovanni, manages over 400 hectares with a focus on sustainable viticulture and traditional methods. This Riserva sees extended maceration for depth and oak aging for complexity, resulting in a lush, pure palate with no hard edges. It offers blue and black fruits, soil tones, liquid minerals, and a touch of cocoa, making it an excellent daily drinker or a great option for domestic wine lovers. Highly recommended for the money, this is one to grab a few of for the cellar!
