Our best find for Bourgogne Blanc this vintage, Domaine Jomain is based in Puligny Montrachet, and these vines are right outside the village. We had a good client looking for white Burgundy for his daughter's wedding, so I procured some samples from a local supplier. Our jaws dropped when we both tasted this wine because it was so good and was like a village Puligny Montrachet. The lovely forwardness of the vintage, grand sense of place, and impeccable balance were in both our tasting notes. There are beautiful aromas of white flowers, stone fruits, liquid minerals, and a touch of saline. The palate is so lush and pure, with village vineyard depth and tons of dry extract on the perfectly balanced finish.
