NV Vieille France Champagne Brut Reserve

$39.99
NV Vieille France Champagne Brut Reserve

These are the last bottles of this top champagne discovery we found this year, and we are offering the last of this lot at a special price. This Champagne is incredible and rivals bottles twice the price. Sourced from an old Champagne house dating back to the early 19th century. They are also the second largest vineyard owner next to Louis Roederer in Champagne. This Champagne is being reintroduced to the US market, so they made sure the quality was above anything else in this range and relabeled and bottled it in the traditional, larger old-school style Champagne bottle. A blend of 40% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir, and 30% Pinot Meunier aged on the lees for at least three years with a dosage of 6 g/l. The aromatics of fresh apples, nectarine, baked bread, liquid minerals, and some saline notes are beguiling. The palate is deep and generous, with tons of dry extract, lovely balance, great texture, and a long, crushing finish. To put things in perspective, we had this next to the Louis Roederer 244, and we liked the Vielle France better. This is an incredible champagne find and is highly recommended!
