2022 Moreau-Naudet & Fils Chablis 1er Cru Montée de Tonnerre

$69.99
2022 Moreau-Naudet & Fils Chablis 1er Cru Montée de Tonnerre

Moreau-Naudet is known for pushing the envelope with its opulent and expressive wines created by picking ripe fruit with limited yields and extended contact on the lees. Over the years, this intriguing style has caught the eye of many, developing a cult following and influencing other producers. We have been offering these wines for a decade now and Stephane's wife has done an excellent job of upholding his philosophy after his passing carrying the torch of this distinguished style. These are rare wines from Chablis, only making it to the USA in limited quantities, and a portion of the grapes here are still sold off, so production is pretty limited. The Montee de Tonerre here is one of these limited-production wines and comes from a single one-hectare parcel of 50-year-old vines within the lieu-dit Chapelot planted on classic Kimmerigian soils. The Montee de Tonerre is one of the strongest performing yet rarest wines from Moreau-Naudet, and '22 is bound to be an excellent example from this much-loved address.
